Produce Truck Crushes Car In Minneapolis, Injuring 1

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A woman was sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries Thursday after a car hit a produce truck, which tipped and crushed part of her vehicle, police say.

Authorities say the incident happened at about 10:51 a.m. Thursday near the area of 25th Street and 26th Avenue in Minneapolis. Police said a Toyota sedan was headed northbound on 26th Avenue when it ran a red light and struck a produce truck that was traveling eastbound on 25th Street.

The sedan hit the back wheels of the truck, causing the truck to tip over onto another vehicle. A woman was inside the vehicle when the truck came crashing down. Police said she was able to duck out of the way and avoid major injury.

Authorities said the produce truck crushed the back seat driver's side of the car.
