MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – It’s Thursday, and that means it’s time to start planning some weekend fun. This weekend, it’s all about movies, wine and beer.

Italian Film Festival
The Italian Film Festival starts Thursday at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. The list of films screened has been carefully selected to cover contemporary feature films, many award-winning. All movies will be shown in Italian with English subtitles. And Italian wine, beer and sodas will be available for purchase.

Spring Ale Fest
Spring has spring, so celebrate with a beer. The Spring Ale Fest is Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Uppercut Gym in Northeast Minneapolis. It will feature local breweries and food trucks, and will help kick off the 2013 Nice Ride bicycling season. The cost on the day of sign up is $50.

Washington County Historical Society Wine Tasting
And for a little spring wine tasting, head to downtown Stillwater Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. The Washington County Historical Society will offer guests a variety of wines that experts will pair with cheeses and chocolates. Tickets are $20.
