Cause Of Fatal Fargo Fire Investigated
FARGO, N.D. (WCCO) — Investigators say one person is dead and another person is hospitalized with serious injuries after an early morning apartment fire in Fargo.
The fire started about 5:30 a.m. and some residents were rescued from balconies.
Assistant Fire Chief Leroy Skarloken says the fire started in the second story unit, where both victims were found.

The chief says steel siding on the three-story building likely prevented the flames from spreading quicker through the 20 apartments.
The Red Cross is helping those displaced by the fire.
