Twins Reinstate Ramirez, Option Arcia
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Minnesota Twins announced Monday night after beating the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim that they are reinstating outfielder Wilkin Ramirez from the paternity list on Tuesday.
Ramirez had been away from the team as his fiancé, Karaine, gave birth to their daughter Venus on Sunday.
To make room for him on the 25-man roster, the Twins optioned outfielder Oswaldo Arcia to AAA Rochester. Arcia made his major league debut Monday night, going 1-for-3 with a single and advancing to second after an error on the play.
