2 Killed, 1 Hurt In Western Wisconsin Crash On I-94

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said an elderly couple was killed and another person was injured in a rollover crash Monday night in Interstate 94 in western Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin State Patrol responded to the crash at about 6:46 p.m. on eastbound I-94 in St. Croix County near mile marker 31. When authorities arrived, a vehicle lost control on slush covered pavement, went into in the median, hit a guardrail and rolled to Norseman Road below.

Authorities said two people in the car were pronounced dead at the scene, while another suffered minor injuries.

The couple killed has been identified as Harvey and Ruth Wick, of Altoona, Wis. Harvey Wick, 85, was wearing at seatbelt at the time of the crash, however, his wife, Ruth, 84, was not.

The third victim, Judy Harris, 54, of Spooner, Wis. received non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Baldwin Hospital. She was wearing a seatbelt in the crash, according to authorities.

The Wisconsin State Patrols said the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
