Police: 1 Dead In St. Cloud Garage Fire

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities in St. Cloud are investigating after a man was found dead in a garage fire on Tuesday.

St. Cloud Police and the St. Cloud Fire Department responded to the garage fire at about 7:07 p.m. Tuesday on the 100 block of 36th Avenue. When authorities arrived, they spotted a fire in a garage that was detached from a single family rental home at the residence.

While putting the fire out, crews found a man’s body inside the garage. The victim has not been identified, and the cause of the fire as well as the man’s death are both still under investigation.

Authorities said the renters and owners of the home are accounted for and were not hurt in the incident.
