MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said the body found in the St. Croix River on Tuesday was that of a man who was last seen in Hudson, Wis., back on April 1.

The Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s office identified the body Thursday as 54-year-old Donald Duane Marklowitz Jr. Authorities said the exact cause of his death is still under investigation. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Wisconsin authorities said they are looking for anyone with information about this case, but don’t believe the public is in any danger.

Marklowitz’s body was recovered Tuesday night on the St. Croix River near the 900 block of Quentin Avenue South. The case is still under investigation, and anyone with information should contact the Washington County Sheriff’s Office at (651) 430-7600.
