MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — It’s Thursday, and that means it’s time to start planning some weekend fun.

This spring weekend offers beer, art and comic books.

American Craft Beer Week

Did you know that it is American Craft Beer Week? Did you know that there are 10,000 minutes in a week? Well, the Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild is putting both together for 10,000 Minutes of Minnnesota Craft Beer through Sunday.

Festivals and beer samplings span the state, from Lake Superior to northeast Minneapolis.

State Fairgrounds Comic Book Show

Fans will converge on the Minnesota State Fairgrounds this week for the Midwest Comic Book Association’s SpringCon. More than 225 comic book creators are expected at this year’s event.

And SpringCon opens to the public on Saturday morning. The celebration will happen under the Grandstand big top.

Art-A-Whirl In Northeast Minneapolis

This weekend is also Art-A-Whir. It has become the largest weekend-long open studio tour in the country.

Approximately 30,000 visitors are expected at 70 locations throughout Northeast Minneapolis, including studio buildings, art galleries, homes and more.
