Twins Blog: Midwest Music Showcase

This summer, the Minnesota Twins are making local music fans happy.

At every Wednesday home game through August, a local band will perform during games in a series the team calls "The Midwest Music Showcase."

In the past, the Twins have fielded complaints that local music wasn't played in the stadium.

They can't complain any more. The team selected Minnesota artists such as Trampled by Turtles, P.O.S, and GB Leighton will perform at games this summer.

I spent some time with Minneapolis rockers, The 4onthefloor, during their performance on May 15 and found out why it's a big deal for the bands and their fans.

There is one spot still open for the group that wins "The Sound Factor" contest.

To see the lineup for the Midwest Music Showcase, or to submit a song to perform at Target Field, visit the Twins website.
