MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – They’re cute and cuddly, and they put a smile on the faces of patients in the hospital. They’re called Medical Monkeys.

Lanae Paaverud, who founded the charity that provides them, spoke with Jamie Yuccas and Matt Brickman on Saturday morning.

Paaverud shared how it all started and described how people respond differently to the Medical Monkeys than, say, flowers or balloons.
