Red, White and Blue Fruit Kabobs

Ingredients:
• 1 angel food cake
• Small star cookie cutter
• 1 cup strawberries
• 1 cup blackberries
• ½ cup blueberries
• Small wooden skewers
• Whipped cream

Directions:
Split your angel food cake into three layers and cut out stars of cake. Wash your strawberries, blackberries and blueberries and remove stems from the strawberries.

Alternate skewering berries and angel food stars for a fun patriotic dessert. Serve with sweet whipped cream.

Serving: About 10-15 skewers.

American Flag Trifle

Ingredients:
• 1 angel food cake
• Small Star cookie cutter
• Glasses (sundae glasses, wine glasses or martini glasses work great)
• 1 cup strawberries
• ½ cup raspberries
• 1 cup blackberries
• ½ cup blueberries
• Sweet whipped cream
• 8 ounces heavy whipping cream
• ¼ cup sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Split your angel food cake into three layers and cut out stars of cake. Fill glasses with layers of berries, whipped cream and angel food stars.

To make the sweet whipped cream, pour whipping cream, sugar and vanilla into a mixing bowl. Whip your ingredients to a medium-stiff peak.

Top with berries and a small American flag for a delicious and elegant patriotic dessert.

Serving: 4-7 glasses (depending on glass size).
