MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – It’s Thursday, and that means it’s time to start planning some weekend fun. This weekend, Minnesotans can go flying, beer tasting and celebrate our great capitol city of St. Paul.

Aviation Days
This weekend go wheels up at Discover Aviation Days in Blaine. Eat food, check out exhibits and take a helicopter ride. WWII fighters, trainers and bombers will be on display for the history buffs. Admission to Discover Aviation Days is free.

City Pages Beer Fest
Beer lovers will gather near 10th and Hennepin in Minneapolis Saturday for the City Pages Beer Festival. This outdoor tasting features a variety of domestic and imported beers, live music, and a mechanical bull. Tickets will be available at the door the day of the event for $40.

Grand Old Day
Whether or not you live in St. Paul, everyone loves Grand Old Day. This is the 40th year for the day-long festival on Grand Avenue that happens Sunday. Dance, eat, drink and of course, be merry. It’s free to attend.
