MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said a 49-year-old California man was killed last Saturday after being hit by a car in Rogers.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the victim Friday as Kevin Vincent Plummer of Alta Loma, Calif. The accident happened last Saturday afternoon on the 20000 block of Rogers Drive in Rogers, just north and west of the Twin Cities.

Authorities said a car was traveling on a road along Interstate 94 when it lost control, crossed the center line and hit Plummer. He was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the medical examiner, Plummer died of multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the accident.

The Rogers Police Department is continuing the investigation of what led up to the accident.
