MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police said a 25-year-old Minneapolis man died early Saturday morning after a shooting in northeast Minneapolis.

The victim was identified Monday morning as Mohamed Omar Aden. Authorities said the incident happened at about 4:34 a.m. Saturday on the 2400 block of Washington Street NE. Police were called to a shooting and discovered that Aden had been shot multiple times while sitting in his vehicle outside a party.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner ruled Monday that Aden died from multiple gunshot wounds.

Police said there have been no arrests made in the incident, and anyone with information is asked to call Minneapolis Police. It’s the 11th homicide of the year in Minneapolis.
