MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The monster is back, and she’s settled in for a summer spell at Lake Nokomis this year.

Minne, the Lake Monster, has sampled a number of local lakes to call home since first appearing at Lake Harriet four years ago.

Since then, she has moved to Lake of the Isles, Brownie Lake, and Powderhorn Lake.

Although Minne is a creature of few words, she is quite active on Twitter (@lakecreature) and Facebook. It’s through social media that she posts clues about her location, and just this week, she confirmed she would be staying at Lake Nokomis for the summer of 2013.

Minne was created by Cameron Gainer, a Minneapolis artist. Minne has made appearances in other states as well.
