MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police in Mankato have arrested a suspect after a woman was found dead and a man was injured in an incident Thursday morning.

Police responded to the incident on the 1400 block of Second Avenue at about 10:30 a.m. Thursday. When they arrived, authorities found 20-year-old Yesenia Gonzalez dead and a 26-year-old man who had suffered multiple stab wounds. The male victim was transported to a hospital, treated for his injuries and released.

Police later arrested 24-year-old Levi Spencer Minissale of Minneapolis just after 11 a.m. Thursday in connection with the incident at a gas station on the 1300 block of North Riverfront Drive. Authorities said Minissale is an acquaintance of both victims and is in jail pending charges of second-degree homicide and second-degree assault.

Mankato Police and other agencies said the incident is still under investigation.
