Minneapolis Ranks 3rd Among Survey Of 'Sinful' Cities

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Twin Cities? More like Sin Cities. According to a recent ranking of the most sinful cities according to the seven deadly sins -- those being wrath, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy, and gluttony -- Minneapolis ranked third among the country's most sinful hotspots.

The list ranked St. Louis at the top of the list, and Orlando, Fla. came in second.

The rankings were compiled by the blog for Movoto, which focuses on real estate information and stresses "the lighter side of real estate."

According to their recent post, Minneapolis ranks high on the lust scale because of the number of strip joints available per capita.

The city also ranked second among all cities for sloth. Movoto said that information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimated 30 percent of the city's population qualified as physically "inactive."

The list's top 5 is rounded out by Pittsburgh and Milwaukee.

Surprisingly enough, the presumed capitol "Sin City" -- Las Vegas -- only ranked 10th on the overall list.

None of the very largest cities in the U.S. -- New York, Los Angeles and Chicago -- made the top 10.
