MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — It’s Thursday, and that means it’s time to start planning some weekend fun. Sunday is Father’s Day, and if you don’t have plans yet, there are a few events around town that are definitely worth taking dad to.

Rock the Garden
Rock the Garden — featuring bands like Metric, Silversun Pickups and Low — takes over the Walker Art Center on Saturday. The outdoor concert starts at 3 p.m. Tickets are still available for $55.

Stone Arch Bridge Festival
This weekend is also the Stone Arch Bridge Festival on the Minneapolis Riverfront. The festival is expecting nearly 70,000 people to attend to enjoy over 250 artists, local music, unique classic cars, family activities, and delicious foods.

Opera Under the Stars
You can attend the opera under the stars for free this weekend at Harriet Island in St. Paul, Lake Harriet Bandshell in Minneapolis and Shattuck-St. Mary’s School in Fairbault. There are shows Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. No tickets are required, but the show will not go on if there is severe weather. Here’s hoping the rain stays away.
