Boy, 16, Hurt After Car Hits Tree In Western Wis.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 16-year-old boy from River Falls, Wis., was hurt Thursday night after his car crashed into a tree in western Wisconsin, according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities responded to the crash at about 11:17 p.m. Thursday on County Road FF about one mile west of 1015th Street in River Falls Township. When sheriff's deputies arrived, a 1997 Ford Aspire being driven by a 16-year-old boy was headed eastbound on County Road FF when the driver failed to negotiate a curve and hit a tree.

The boy was transported by ambulance to a hospital with undetermined injuries.

The accident is still under investigation, and the Pierce County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by River Falls Police, Ambulance and Fire Department.
