ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Minn. (WCCO) – Authorities have identified the 55-year-old Hibbing man who died Thursday morning after falling from his deer stand in St. Louis County as Bruce Richard Stone.

According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, the call came in at 11:24 a.m. Thursday on the 1500 block of Highway 5 after the victim had fallen from his hunting structure. He had been working on the deer stand’s roof when the accident occurred.

Authorities said despite the efforts of first responders and Life Link air medical staff, the victim died at the scene from his injuries.
