MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Police have issued a crime alert after two women were inappropriately touched by a stranger while they were using park trails in Maple Grove.

Maple Grove Police say the first incident occurred on June 10 in the 11500 block of West Eagle Lake Drive at 5:30 p.m. The female victim was approached from behind and touched inappropriately.

A similar event occurred Tuesday on the Rice Lake Trails at 9:15 a.m.

In both cases, the suspect immediately fled on foot to a blue bicycle nearby. Both women were walking alone.

The suspect has been described in both cases as a male with darker skin tone, 16 to 19 years old, 170 pounds, medium-length dark wavy or shaggy hari, wide-flat nose and no facial hair.

Police are asking residents to be extra aware of their surrounding and to call 911 immediately if they see anyone matching the suspect’s description.
