MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A 30-year-old man from St. Paul was arrested by St. Cloud Police Wednesday night for throwing a rock through a car window with one adult and three children inside.

Police responded to the incident at about 6:40 p.m. Wednesday on the 200 block 19th Avenue North in St. Cloud. When authorities arrived, the 29-year-old victim, a St. Cloud resident, told police that the suspect, identified as Steven Francis Cottier, threw a rock at a car window while the victim and three children were inside.

Less than two hours later, police returned to the scene and found Cottier hiding in the victim’s residence. Cottier was taken into custody and is in the Stearns County Jail on charges of felony domestic assault, second-degree assault, three counts of disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property.
