MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – It’s Thursday, and that means it’s time to start planning some weekend fun. There are lots of parties going on this weekend, so get your dancing shoes ready.

Guthrie Dance Party
On Saturday, kick up your heels to live music in the Guthrie’s Dowling Studio, as one of the most dramatic event spaces in the Twin Cities is transformed from top to bottom for a dance party. R&B performers and DJ’s will take the stage, laying down tracks for the night. The cost is $25 per person, and party guests get free Summit beer from 9:30 p.m. until 10. Dancing goes until 1 a.m.

Secret City
Northern Spark may have come and gone, but the late-night celebrating continues Saturday — this time in Minneapolis’ Secret City. Free performances and events will occur in downtown Minneapolis from 6:30 p.m. to midnight at the Minneapolis Convention Center Plaza, the Midtown Greenway, the Sculpture Garden, the Basilica of St. Mary and along Hennepin Avenue, between 5th and 9th Streets.  All events are free, and food trucks will be out in force.

Summer Solstice Music Festival
Across the river in Wisconsin, the 45th Parallel Distillery is hosting a summer solstice music festival Saturday from 1-7 p.m. It’s an event for foodies, music lovers and spirit aficionados. Three blues bands will perform, and the distillery will be open for tours. Bring a chair, and settle it! The cost is $5 per person.
