MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities have identified the victim in Tuesday’s fatal shooting on the city’s north side.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office said 21-year-old Landon Pederson, of St. Paul, died at 5 a.m. on the 2400 block of Illion Avenue North. The cause of death was a gunshot wound to the chest.

Police responded to the shooting Tuesday at about 4:45 a.m. and found Pederson dead at the scene. There, they spoke with many witnesses and immediately identified a suspect.

A woman — who has not been named — was arrested.

Police said those involved in the shooting were acquaintances.
