2 Mpls Tree Debris Drop-Off Sites To Close Saturday

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Two tree debris drop-off sites that were made available to citizens following last weekend's destructive storms will stop accepting public debris Saturday.

The city said in a press release that the drop-off sites at Fort Snelling and north Minneapolis will stop accepting public tree debris at noon on Saturday.

The north Minneapolis drop off site is located at 33rd Avenue and 2nd Street. It is open from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.

The Fort Snelling site is located adjacent to the golf course. Its hours are also 8 a.m. to noon on Saturdays.

Also in the press release, the city advised residents not to take tree debris from the curbside to use for firewood. These tree debris could be infested with Emerald Ash Borer, and moving the wood could spread the infestation.
