Man Pulls Gun In Great Scott Fireworks Fracas
GREAT SCOTT TOWNSHIP, Minn. (WCCO) -- A Minnesota man faces potential criminal charges after pointing a handgun at another man's head following a fight over fireworks Thursday evening.
The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office says that officers were summoned to a home on the 7000 block of Sherwood Anderson Road in Great Scott Township, Minn. at about 8:30 p.m.
The call came from 61-year-old David Phillips, who lived at that address and was complaining about the noise of fireworks.
While officers were en route, Phillips allegedly drove over to confront 43-year-old Darrin Lumby.
Witnesses said that Phillips drew a handgun and pointed it at Lumby's head, threatening to kill him.
Officers later took Phillips into custody and booked him on charges of second-degree assault, making terroristic threats, and causing damage to property.
The sheriff's office continues to investigate the incident.
