MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) –Authorities have identified the 38-year-old man who was shot and killed earlier this week, in addition to charging two men in connection with the shooting.

Diamond Lee Jamal Griffin, 24, and Ryan Grant, 22, were both charged with three counts of second-degree murder, and two counts of second-degree assault for their role in the Monday night shooting on the 3600 block of Columbus Avenue South in south Minneapolis.

When authorities arrived at about 11:15 p.m., they found a man shot to death and another victim who had suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The Hennepin County Medical Examiner identified the gunshot victim Thursday as Francisco Benitez Hernandez. He also went by the name Joseph Bernado Lopez.
