MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — It feels a lot like the dog days of summer. Perfect time to open a new dog park, right?

The new park for our four-legged friends opened at Lyndale Farmstead Park at 40th and Dupont in Minneapolis Wednesday afternoon.

The park is more than a half acre and entirely fenced in.

On Wednesday, they put out some kiddie pools for our furry friends.

It’s the city’s 7th off-leash park.

The Park and Rec Board does require a permit to be in the park.
