MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – One person is dead and four others are injured after a two-vehicle crash in East Bethel Thursday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

At 11:03 a.m., the Anoka County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on Highway 65 at 181st Avenue Northeast in East Bethel.

According to the State Patrol, a Ford flatbed truck hauling a skid loader was traveling southbound on Highway 65 when a Pontiac Grand Prix tried to cross directly into its path onto westbound 181st Avenue.

The truck then struck the passenger side of the Pontiac, killing its front passenger, a 34-year-old East Bethel woman.

The driver of the Pontiac, a 32-year-old woman from East Bethel, was airlifted to HCMC in critical condition. The rear seat passenger, a 13-year-old girl from East Bethel, was transported to Mercy Hospital in stable condition.

Both occupants of the Ford were taken to Unity Hospital in stable condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
