MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — It’s Thursday, and that means it’s time to start planning some weekend fun! This weekend, it’s all about music, beer and cars.

Lakefront Music Festival
Bret Michaels and Montgomery Gentry headline Prior Lake Rotary’s Lakefront Music Fest this weekend. Tickets are $20 in advance for both days. The Rotary will share profits from the festival with non-profit organizations. Children 15 and under are free.

Car Craft Summer Nationals
Are you burnin’ for a burn out? Head to the State Fairgrounds for the Car Craft Summer Nationals. It’s a three-day event showcasing more than 5,000 street machines and muscle cars. Tickets are $10 in advance, $14 at the door, and kids under 10 are free.

Highland Fest Beer Dabbler
The Beer Dabbler is a highlight at this year’s Highland Fest. It’s Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. in St. Paul. Sample craft beer from more than 65 local, regional and national breweries, gourmet food trucks and live music. Tickets are $35.
