Moore, Augustus Voted WNBA All-Star Starters

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Minnesota Lynx learned Thursday that two of its players have been voted by fans to be starters in the upcoming WNBA All-Star Game.

Maya Moore and Seimone Augustus were chosen to be starters for the Western Conference in the game, which will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 23. Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve will also be on the sidelines to lead the team after the Lynx won the Western Conference last season to reach the WNBA Finals.

Augustus earned her fourth career all-star appearance and first career start. It's unclear if she'll actually play as she's missed recent games with an ankle injury. It's the second all-star game for Moore and it's the first time in franchise history the Lynx have had two players voted as all-star starters.

The other Western Conference starters include Candace Parker, Diana Taurasi and Brittney Griner.
