Dozens Evacuated After Bloomington Apartment Fire

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Dozens of people were evacuated after a fire broke out at a 40-unit apartment building in Bloomington, Minn., according to police.

The fire started Sunday morning in a ground level apartment in the complex, located on the 8000 block of 12th Avenue South.

One person was transported to the hospital for unspecified injuries, according to authorities.

Police say firefighters were able to knock down the fire quickly. Residents of the building were evacuated and kept away from the building in a nearby bus while crews battled the fire.

Authorities will continue to investigate the cause of the fire.
