The NFL is beginning a trial program of blood testing for HGH and performance enhancing drugs.

Details of the pilot program are sketchy but Adrian Peterson is one player who is welcoming it.

“I like it, I love it,” Peterson said, as he believes it will reveal who the cheaters are.

With the suspension for the entire season of Milwaukee Brewer Ryan Braun, and word that the Yankees Alex Rodriguez and other Major League Baseball players will soon face suspensions as well, there is a growing suspicion among many fans that a high percentage of the top professional athletes in any sport are, in fact, getting some extra help.

Peterson has brushed aside and denied rumors that his remarkable recovery from surgery was aided by some form of banned substance.

Bring on the drug testing, he said.

AP is right. Bring on the testing and let everyone, players and fans, see who the real superstars are.
