MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Pastor Greg Enterline has been pastor at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Willmar for three years, and had gotten to know Lila Warwick pretty well.

“She came to church every Sunday,” Enterline said.

She was also very generous with her time, said one woman leaving the church Friday.

“I’ve known her 30 years, and she’s always had a smile on her face” the woman said.

Warwick was found dead in her home Monday. Police say her grandson came up with a plan to steal money from her and kill her.

Enterline said Warwick had a strong faith.

“She is with the Lord,” he said.

A 19-year-old was charged with second-degree murder Friday in Kandiyohi County. Brok Junkermeier, a 17-year-old and a 16-year-old face charges in the death of the 79-year-old Warwick. Police say Junkermeier killed Warwick after breaking into her home and forcing her to write a $1,500 check.
