BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (WCCO) – Bloomington Police say a missing 17-year-old girl was found safe late Sunday night.

Mercedes Joann Beauchamp had last seen leaving her room Saturday evening at the Extended Stay Hotel at 7956 Lyndale Ave. S.

According to her mother, Mercedes left their room at 9:30 p.m. to go to the vending machine without her purse, wallet, cell phone or room key. Police said Mercedes’ disappearance is unusual since she has no transportation and has no known friends in the area.

Bloomington Police said she was found safe at about 10:40 p.m. Sunday, but did not release any more information about the case.
