Sheriff: Suspicious Incident In Albertville Unfounded

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Wright County Sheriff's Office says a suspicious man who was taking pictures in Albertville wasn't taking pictures of children, but was a real estate person photographing a foreclosed home.

At about 12:40 p.m. last Friday, two juvenile females recently reported a man taking photos of them in Albertville.

Authorities said the incident was reported near the area of 75th Street NE and Large Avenue. The sheriff's office said the man was spotted in a black four-door car taking pictures and left the area shortly after. He's described as a white male about 50 to 60 years old wearing a black or brown cap.

Authorities said the man made no effort to lure the girls into his vehicle.

On Wednesday, the man who resembles the physical description and has a similar vehicle was interviewed. The Sheriff's Office says he is a real estate person who was in the area at the time of the report photographing a foreclosed home.

He denied photographing any children and the Sheriff's Office verified his story.
