2 Seriously Injured In Head-On Crash Near New Prague

NEW PRAGUE, Minn. (WCCO) - Two people are hospitalized with serious injuries after a head-on collision late Monday afternoon near New Prague.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, 18-year-old Justin Nelson of Farmington was driving eastbound on Highway 19, west of Church Avenue, when his 1995 Honda Accord crossed the center lane.

Nelson collided head-on with 35-year-old Elizabeth Alvarez of Le Sueur, who was driving a 2000 Chevy Blazer.

Both were airlifted to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.

The sheriff's offices of Le Sueur and Scott counties and New Prague Police are assisting in the investigation of this crash.
