MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities are investigating after a man was apparently found in the back of a semi-trailer Thursday morning with severe burns in south Minneapolis.

Police were called to a warehouse in the area of 46th Street and Hiawatha Avenue at about 2:30 a.m. Thursday. When authorities arrived, a semi-trailer had caught fire and a man was found in the back of it with burns. He was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center and was conscious and alert, but had suffered severe burns.

The man has not been identified, and it’s not known how the semi-trailer caught fire. Police said the incident is under investigation.
