Driver Killed In Pine County Crash

ROCK CREEK, Minn. (WCCO) – One person is dead after a Dodge Ram truck broadsided a Toyota Prius Saturday afternoon in Pine County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash happened at 2:45 p.m. on Highway 70 at Government Road in Rock Creek.

Forty-eight-year-old Danny Kitterman of Waite Park allegedly ran a stop sign in his truck while traveling northbound on Government Road. He broadsided the driver of the Prius, who was traveling westbound on Highway 70.

The driver of the Prius, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Kitterman has no apparent injuries, according to authorities.

The Pine County Sheriff’s office is assisting in the investigation.
