MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) –– Fall football tailgating days are quickly approaching.

WCCO caught up with Stu, self-proclaimed king of the barbecue, who shares how to make the most out of your pre-game celebration.

The biggest problem is people try to grill way too fast – instead take 12 minutes per side with brats.

Also don’t push down on a burger patty with your spatula, as that’ll makes it overly dry.

And when it comes to safe temperatures, burgers need to be cooked at 160 degrees.
