MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A 22-year-old Monticello man has died after crashing his ATV Saturday, according to the Wright County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office said at 2:37 a.m. they were notified of the ATV crash near the intersection of Haug Avenue Northeast and 96th Street Northeast in Monticello Township.

An investigation indicates that Jacob George Roger Bills was driving a 2008 Artic Cat 500 ATV southbound on Haug Avenue when he lost control and crashed.

He was taken to the CentraCare Monticello Hospital and was later transported by helicopter to North Memorial Medical Center. He died Sunday from his injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
