MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- After consuming some creative – and sometimes downright ridiculous – foods-on-a-stick, satisfy for ears this Friday at the State Fair with some great local music.

Starting at 5 p.m., a distinct group of Minnesota-grown artists hit the stage at the Grandstand, including The Suburbs, Trampled by Turtles, Mason Jennings, P.O.S and The Chalice.

Tickets are going for $28 with reserved seating and general admission.

Of course, there is plenty of local musicians performing at the fair everyday -- check out the Free Entertainment Schedule.
