4 Months Since Eden Prairie Woman's Disappearance

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (WCCO) - The family of a missing Eden Prairie woman is holding out hope that she'll return alive.

Mandy Matula was last seen four months ago Saturday. After dozens of searches, there's still no sign of the woman.

Her boyfriend, 24-year-old David Roe, committed suicide on his way in to be questioned by police.

Her disappearance is bringing up memories for another Minnesota family who also lost a loved one. Patty Wetterling's son Jacob was kidnapped in 1989 while out on his bike.

She says she understands their pain.

"Somehow you just have to manage to get up every day," Wetterling said. "And I just remember that desperation of wanting anyone to come forward to help."

She says the Matulas will need a lot of support over the next months and years.
