MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A 33-year-old man suffered life-threatening injuries after a motorcycle accident, where police say both speed and alcohol are believed to be a factor.
The accident happened around 12:39 a.m. Sunday on the 6900 block of Rice Lake Road in Duluth, Minn.
Authorities say Zeboriah James Fish was northbound on Rice Lake Road in Gnesen Township when he failed to make a curve, struck two mail boxes, was thrown from a motorcycle and came to rest in a ditch.
Fish was found laying in the east side ditch near a motorcycle by passers-by.
He sustained multiple injuries and was taken via ambulance to St. Luke’s Hospital for possible, life-threatening injuries.
Police say Fish was wearing a helmet. They also believe alcohol and excessive speed contributed to the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
