WRIGHT COUNTY, Minn. (WCCO) – Police are looking for the suspect who robbed a Monticello Burger King at gunpoint early Thursday morning.

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office said an employee was leaving a the parking lot of the Burger King at 945 Ash Street in Clearwater at 12:43 a.m. when a man tapped on the car window with a black handgun. The employee fled the scene, leaving the suspect, who was dressed in all black.

Authorities said just hours later, at 5:18 a.m., a man wearing all-black clothing and a black ski mask approached an employee at the 200 7th Street East Burger King restaurant in Monticello. The suspect, holding a black handgun, forced the employee into the store and took an undetermined amount of money.
