Police: 12 Hurt After School Bus Crashes In Corcoran

CORCORAN, Minn. (WCCO) – Officials said Monday as many as 12 students were taken to a hospital with injuries after a school bus was involved in a crash in the northwest Twin Cities metro.

Corcoran Police and the Rogers Fire Department were called to the scene at about 7:45 a.m. along with at least one ambulance at County Road 10 and County Road 50 in Corcoran. It's not immediately clear how many vehicles were involved other than the bus. Officials said the bus was transporting students in the Rockford School District. They said 12 students were taken to North Memorial Hospital in Maple Grove to be treated for minor injuries.

Another 37 were evaluated at the scene and released to their parents or continued onto school.

Authorities said they're investigating what led up to the crash.
