ANOKA COUNTY, Minn. (WCCO) – The state patrol is investigating a fatal one-car accident in Anoka County after it crashed into a portable message board on the passenger’s side.

Passenger Peggy Koecher, 48, of Stacy, Minn., died after the car veered off the right side of the road around 7 p.m. on Tuesday while traveling northbound on I-35W at County Road 14.

The car collided with the message board on the passenger’s side, killing Koecher. The driver, Rebecca Koecher, 22, of Hopkins, Minn., suffered no apparent injuries.
