MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – TCF Bank customers have the most to complain about, according to a new consumer study.
Research from the Federal Consumer Financial Protection Bureau says that the Wayzata-based bank was at the top of the list when it comes to the number of complaints they get.
Most of the issues were over checking accounts, fees, and ATM or debit cards.
The report found that in half of these cases, TCF offered money to complaining customers in hopes of settling the dispute.
Other big banks used in Minnesota that made the list — Wells Fargo was listed 12th, and U.S. Bank was 22nd.
