Authorities Investigating Sexual Assault In St. Cloud

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities are investigating an apparent sexual assault took place in St. Cloud late Thursday night.

St. Cloud Police were called at about 11:08 p.m. Thursday to an area near the St. Cloud Courthouse on a report of a sexual assault. A 33-year-old woman called police and said she was assaulted by an unknown African-American suspect while walking downtown. The suspect is described as 22 to 28 years old and about 5-7 or 5-8 and 150 to 160 pounds with a stocky, muscular build.

The suspect had cornrows doing down the bottom of his neck and told the victim he had a gun, but never showed it. The case is under investigation and police are looking for the suspect. Anyone with information should call St. Cloud Police at (320) 345-4444.
