Teen's Stolen Hockey Gear Replaced By Local Business

MINNETONKA, Minn. (WCCO) - The mother of a teenage girl who's hockey equipment was stolen calls the generosity they've received "overwhelming."

Someone broke into Robin Tomaszewski's car and stole her 13-year-old daughter Jordyn's goalie gear, worth $2,700.

The Tomaszewskis have been searching online for the items to show up. But now, strangers are helping Jordyn get back on the ice, and have pitched in to get her new gear.

Jordyn was fitted with new equipment Sunday at Total Hockey in Minnetonka with the help of Gongshow Gear.

Robin says it's been a bittersweet lesson.

"There are no words for what they've done. This is amazing, absolutely amazing," Tomaszewksi said. "People from nowhere just stepping up and trying to put a smile on my daughter's face is priceless."

She says they'll never store her new gear in the car, and instead will take it inside from now on.
